The disappearance of the submersible en route to the wreck of the Titanic has highlighted the businesses that offer extreme expeditions – and their clienteles. Remotely operated vehicle (ROV) searches have been deployed in the area where the P-3 aircraft recorded the noises, US Coast Guard officials said. Analysis of the noises has been “inconclusive”, Coast Guard Capt Jamie Frederick said. Noises were detected by Canadian P-3 aircraft on Tuesday and again on Wednesday, US Coast Guard officials said in a press conference this afternoon.Įxperts have not yet identified the source of these noises, and officials have warned the sounds may not have originated from the missing vessel.
